Nebraska Department of Revenue – Withholding Tax

Agency Information

Add to existing company setup

Submit a request to your service team to add NE (withholding) to your company setup. Please include the below with your request:

  • Withholding – Withholding account number and Deposit Frequency.  If your unsure of you’re deposit frequency or account number you can call the agency at 402-471-5729.

Register a new company

Register by completing and submitting the Nebraska Tax Application found at http://www.revenue.nebraska.gov/tax/current/fill-in/f_20.pdf.  Complete the form and mail or fax to the address listed on the form.  Once completed you will receive your account number and rate within 2 weeks.

Nebraska Department of Labor – Unemployment tax

Add to existing company setup

Submit a request to your service team to add NESUI  (unemployment) to your company setup. Please include the below with your request:

  • Unemployment – Account Number and Tax rate.  This can be found on a Tax Rate Notice or the Quarterly contribution report.  If you’re unsure of your tax rate or account number, you can call the agency at 402-471-9898.
  • Power of Attorney- POA is required, please obtain the prefilled form from your client service representative.

Register a new company

Register online at https://uiconnect.ne.gov/uiconnect/faces/jsp/register.jsp.  Follow the prompts to register your business.  Once completed you will receive your account number and rate within 7 days.
