Arkansas Department of Finance & Administration – Withholding Tax

Agency Information

Add to existing company setup

Submit a request to your service team to add AR (withholding) to your company setup.  Please include the below with your request:

  • Withholding – Deposit Frequency and Account number.  If you’re unsure of your deposit frequency or account number, you can call the agency at 501-682-7290.
  • Power of Attorney – POA is required, please obtain the prefilled form from your client service representative.

Register a new company

  1. Visit https://atap.arkansas.gov/_/ and select Register a New Business.   This is found under the Quick Links section at the bottom of the page to register and obtain a tax account number.
  2. Once you’ve received your account number, navigate back to https://atap.arkansas.gov/_/ and select SIGN UP.
  3. You should receive your account number and deposit frequency by mail in 1-2 weeks.

Arkansas Department of Workforce Services – Unemployment tax

Add to existing company setup

Submit a request to your service team to add ARSUI (unemployment) to your company setup.  Please include the below with your request:

  • Unemployment – Tax rate and Account number.  This can be found on a Tax Rate Notice or the Quarterly contribution and wage report.  If you’re unsure of your tax rate or account number, you can call the agency at 501-682-3798.
  • Power of Attorney – POA is required, please obtain the prefilled form from your client service representative.

Register a new company

Visit https://www.workforce.arkansas.gov/Tax21/FirstTimeUserOption.aspx to complete the online registration.  You will receive your account number via email.
